Chabad Security Fund

  • Since opening the new Chabad Jewish Center in December, we have been in discussion with the Altamonte Springs Police Department, as well as members of our community, about the necessary and proactive steps we can take to ensure our community is safe.

In addition to the security assessments that we've done and cameras that have been installed, we would like to begin having armed security every Shabbat morning at Chabad, as well as on holidays and at larger events.

The cost for armed security is $80/week or $320/month. With the additional programs and holidays throughout the year, the total cost is about $6,000 annually.

Let's join together as a community and keep our families and community safe. Would you consider making a contribution of $25/month, or any amount you are comfortable with, to our security fund to help make this possible? We are grateful for your support and partnership throughout the year, and ask that this gift be in addition to any other contributions. With the unfortunate reality of rising anti-Semitism and incidents of violence in the recent past, our center must be secure and safe for our families . All funds raised will be used exclusively for security.

After Pittsburgh, Poway, Jersey City and most recently Monsey, and so many other instances, keeping our community safe is a priority! Please help us be proactive  with a contribution earmarked for the security fund below.

May G-d continue to watch over us and provide a safe and secure place for us all to learn, pray and celebrate our Judaism.
